Work has commenced on rejuvenation of courts 1 & 2.
The grass pile had become compacted and the courts were not playing as they should.
The grass pile Wass beaten and the sand blown out before new sand was spread and groomed into the pile.
The sand should always form a layer on top of the grass pile to obtain the best bounce and performance of the court.
To help with this players should remember to bag the courts from side to side and keep an even layer of sand on the court.
We should pay particular attention to the service line which gets the most wear of the court.
